Simple numerical experiments

Using a usual desktop or laptop computer, it is easy to perform some simple numerical experiments on disordered quantum systems. Here, you may find few simple scripts that you may freely download and run on your computer. The scripts are distributed "as is", without express or implied warranty of any kind. They are distributed under the GPL license, version 3.

Anderson localization in a one-dimensional system

The following Perl/Python script solves the Schrodinger equation for a one-dimensional particle in a disordered potential. It assumes that an incident wave on the left side with a fixed energy arrives on a disordered potential region, being partly reflected and partly transmitted. In this specific case, we use a spatial discretization and assume an uncorrelated disordered potential with a random box distribution. More complicated disordered potential (for example created by an optical (...)
